I Married Joan

I Married Joan - Pilot (October 15, 1952)
PILOT..... Brad (Jim Backus) tells a bickering couple how he met Joan when she was a hostess on a plane. Back in the present, Joan buys a fur coat.

Dreams
An episode called "Dreams" of the unpopular yet popular 1950's sitcom "I Married Joan". Starring Joan Davis & Jim Backus. This episode may be missing a few minutes, but is completely watchable. In this episode, Joan wonders what might of happened if she never got married. The fantasy sequences are fantastic.

Broken Toe
An episode of the 1950's television series "I Married Joan" called "Broken Toe". Starring Joan Davis & Jim Backus. Although it lasted three seasons, this show always had trouble in the ratings. Still, fairly funny stuff.

Bev's Boyfriend
In this episode, Joan tries to get a guy to like her sister, but the guy falls in love with Joan instead! (Speaking of which, Joan Steven's sister is played by Joan Davis' real-life daughter). Not too bad at all, actually. This also proves a commonly accepted fact about the 1950's to be completely untrue: It's usually claimed that Hot Rod youth culture started around 1955-1957, this episode aired 1953. Who knows, maybe it started even earlier.

The Clothes Budget
A 1954 episode of the NBC Television Network sitcom "I Married Joan" entitled "The Clothes Budget". Possibly the most jumpy, confusing, and at times sloppy episode of this series, though it's still funny.

The Jailbird
An episode of the 1952-1955 NBC-TV Comedy series "I Married Joan" called "The Jail Bird". This sitcom was a minor hit in the ratings, but never made the Top 20. In many ways, it was a "copycat" of "I Love Lucy", which itself featured the same premise as a previous show ("Mary Kay and Johnny").
